When you use the App, we automatically collect certain information:

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers
• Usage Data: How you interact with the App, features used, and usage patterns
• Habit Completion Data: Timestamps and dates when you complete or track habits
• App Usage Data (with permission): Time spent in other apps, if you grant Screen Time permission

• Camera: For live preview during habit tracking ("Panic mode") and forum post images
• Location: Approximate location to sync garden sky animations with real sunrise and sunset times in your area
• Photo Library: To allow you to select and share images in forum posts
• Contacts: To access your contacts when adding emergency contacts for Power Clock mode
• Screen Time (iOS only): To monitor app usage and apply restrictions you configure

• Habit Tracking: To track your habit completion, display progress, and visualize your garden
• Focus Tools: To manage focus timers, Pomodoro sessions, and productivity features

• App Restrictions: To help you manage screen time and app usage limits you set

• To sync garden sky animations with your local sunrise/sunset times

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

All your data is stored locally on your device using secure local storage (AsyncStorage). We do not upload, sync, or store your personal data on remote servers or in the cloud. Your data remains under your control and on your device.

• Local encryption of stored data through device-level security
• Secure data access controls
• No transmission of sensitive data over networks (except as noted in Section 4)

• You delete it through the App's features
• You uninstall the App (which may delete local data depending on your device settings)

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 YouTube Integration

The App embeds YouTube videos for educational and entertainment purposes. When you watch videos:

• YouTube's own privacy policy and terms of service apply
• YouTube may collect data about your viewing activity in accordance with their privacy practices
• We use YouTube's embed feature, which does not require you to provide login credentials through our App
• We do not collect or store information about which videos you watch

4.2 Platform Services

The App uses services provided by your device's operating system:

• iOS/Android System Services: The App may interact with system services for features like notifications, haptics, and system UI
• Apple Screen Time API (iOS): Used only when you explicitly grant permission to monitor and restrict app usage

5. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 Access and Control

You have the right to:

• Access Your Data: All your data is stored locally and accessible through the App
• Modify Your Data: Edit habits, journal entries, and other content at any time
• Delete Your Data: Delete habits, posts, journal entries, and other content through App features
• Export Your Data: Your data is stored locally in a format you can access through device file management

5.2 Permissions

You control all permissions:

• Camera: You can deny or revoke camera access at any time through device settings
• Location: Location access is optional and used only for sunrise/sunset synchronization
• Contacts: You can deny contacts access; the App will still function
• Photo Library: You can deny photo access; you just won't be able to add images to posts
• Screen Time: This is an iOS system permission you control through Settings

5.3 Anonymous Posting

For forum posts and comments, you can choose to post anonymously. When you post anonymously:

• Your user alias is not displayed
• Posts are not linked to your identity
• You retain the ability to delete your own posts

6. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete such information.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

Your data is stored locally on your device and is not shared with:

• Third-party advertisers
• Analytics services
• Data brokers
• Other apps or services

The only exception is:

• Forum Posts: Posts you create in the community forums are visible to other App users, but only if you choose to share them. Anonymous posts do not reveal your identity.

8. International Users

If you are using the App from outside the United States, please note that your data is stored locally on your device and not transferred internationally. However, by using the App, you consent to the processing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

12. Additional Information for Specific Features

12.1 Screen Time / App Restrictions

If you enable Screen Time features:

• The App may monitor usage of other apps on your device
• This data is used only locally to enforce restrictions you set
• Data is not transmitted or shared outside your device
• You can disable this feature at any time

12.2 Community Features (Forums)

When using community features:

• Posts and comments may be visible to other App users
• You can post anonymously
• Images you share in posts are stored locally and visible to other users
• You can delete your posts and comments at any time

12.3 Emergency Contacts (Power Clock)

Emergency contacts you add:

• Are stored locally on your device
• Are used only for Power Clock mode functionality
• Are not shared with third parties
• Can be deleted at any time

12.4 Location Services

When you grant location permission:

• We use approximate location (not precise GPS coordinates)
• Location is used only to calculate sunrise/sunset times for garden animations
• Location data is not stored or transmitted
• You can revoke location access at any time

13. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Know: You have the right to request information about the personal information we collect (note: we collect minimal data and store it locally)
• Right to Delete: You can delete your data through App features or by uninstalling

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have direct control over your information.
